Via het door ons opgezette collectief Energie voor Kerken (7000 aansluitingen), zijn wij in contact gekomen met Stichting WakK.

Wij ondersteunen de doelen van deze stichting, waaronder het verzorgen van scholing voor alle kinderen, het voorkomen van uitbuiting van meisjes, verbeteren van de landbouw waaronder het planten van bomen ter compensatie van de CO2 uitstoot etc. Twee van onze medewerkers zijn in 2011 ter plaatse gaan kijken naar het werk van de Stichting WakK en waren zeer onder de indruk. Wij dragen de stichting een warm hart toe en ondersteunen deze ook financieel. Naar aanleiding van onze laatste bijdrage ontvingen wij onderstaand bericht.

I am so thankful and very happy to hear such good news that your company has donated money for GEPAT initiatives. Thank you so much. GEPAT is becoming much more attractive and focusing with different strategies aiming at sustainable development (sustainable poverty alleviation).

The community is more engaged. I am working closely with the community slowly. Let me explain to you the use of your donation.

1. Buying  4 lorries of fertilizers for 4 Nyakashozi Parish nurseries located in four Jumuia Ndogo Ndogo (4 payers groups)
2. 4 lorries  of sand to be used in raising 4 nurseries
3. Paying nursery supervisors per month for a whole year
4. Buying seeds = 5 kgs
5. Buying  4 water cans for watering
6. 8 handshoes per nursery

Thank you very much. I was trying to save my March salary for this activity while they are keeping calling me, now soon I will receive the fund and manage the fund through Father Lumumba of Rwambaizi Parish, I hope you still remember the place.
